After graduating high school, I delved into many industries trying to figure out where I would see a possible career. I wrote for a local newspaper, applied makeup on models in photoshoots, and even got into social media marketing. But funny enough, I ended up getting myself a job working in a tech company as a digital project manager, guiding teams and building digital products using the scrum and agile methodologies. I would always look at the UX designers and be so fascinated by what they were doing and how they would apply design thinking methods and processes. From this, I decided to move to a new country and study Interactive and UX design.
I currently work as a junior UX designer for a design studio here in the coast but am hoping to become a product designer. As most of my experience comes from an agency background, I hope to grow my UX skills from a business perspective to help develop valuable products for users. But as much as I like having a plan, I also enjoy the ambiguity of what’s to come. The industry of UX is constantly changing and most definitely will transform over the years. Maybe I’ll become a UX designer for AR? Perhaps I’ll go into becoming a product manager or head of product design? Or perhaps I’ll become a service designer? (Which honestly would be pretty cool) I’m excited to see where my career in UX will take me, and I’m excited to see how the future of UX will grow.
